Marc Pinel has been providing web communications services in private and public sectors for over 10 years as a professional web developer. He has very strong web design skills using HTML/XHTML, CSS, PHP and Adobe Suite. He has also additional core competencies in content management systems and website optimization.
Marc completed a bachelor degree program in communication with minor in public relations and journalism. He graduated as Bachelier ès arts (B.A.) from the University Laval in Québec. He also completed a certificate program in web design (Web Foundations) with the Mount Royal University in Calgary. He succeeded in a web writing program and workshop with Technologia in Montreal and got a certificate in Dreamweaver with Athena institute in Québec.

Diverse work experiences
His career in communication started before the end of his bachelor program. He cumulated several experiences in communication agency and non-profit organizations. Following his program, he worked in communication and public relations for the Government of Québec, Cossette communication (Blitz - Direct marketing division) and the Town of Québec. His experience as a communication counsellor with the Town of Québec gave him the opportunity to get an extensive training in web development. He also acted as the webmaster for the town website for a year.
In 2003, Marc moved to the mountain town of Banff where he decided to take a good dip in the Canadian Rockies tourism world. His experience helps him to familiarize himself with the tourism industry by working in the hostelry and at Parks Canada. In 2008, he started his own company centered on web design and communications. He is acting as a webmaster for non-profit organizations related to hiking including Hike Canada and the Alberta Hiking Association.
